Avery Nigeria offers calibration services on all forms of weighing equipment and have their own Nigeria Weights and Measures Authority and SON certified test weight sets. The calibration certificates are record of “As Found” and “Definitive” tests detailing loads applied, readings taken and any adjustments made.

They also capture the weight set(s) used for the test, the Weights and Measures certificate number for the weights themselves (a copy of which is supplied with the calibration certificate to the end user) and this certificate is serial numbered and retained by ANL until it expires.

The validity of this certificate is that it is an unbiased record of tests done and any adjustments on equipment using test weights that are traceable to the national standard (i.e. the test could be replicated with exactly the same resources in the case of a query or dispute).

ANL engineers are extensively trained and authorized to execute this service. The purpose of such certification is that there is not only a record of calibration/service on equipment (i.e. it is functioning and weighing correctly), but that the user has demonstrably done all that is realistically possible to ensure there is transparency and fairness in their weighing operations.

Avery Nigeria uses the standard Weights and Measures Authority’s and SON prescribed limits as the standard, however, this may alter due to customer requirements and OIML
